Conditions Treated

Definitions

Acute Injury / Recent Injury - severe pain caused by overstretching, sharp twists/turns, lifting awkwardly or lifting too heavy an object.

Chronic Condition - long-term problem often associated with tight joints, weakness of supporting muscles leading to regular reoccurrence of symptoms.

Ligaments
Hold bones together (prevent excessive movement).

Muscles
Pull bones together when they contract, also act as support and shock absorbers.

Prolapsed / Slipped Discs
Bulges in discs can press on nerves and cause referred pain, pins/needles into leg or arm, i.e. sciatica.

Spondylosis
Wear and tear in neck or back BUT often pain is caused by tight ligaments not by bones.

Tendon
Attaches muscle to bone (like a guy rope).

Tendonitis
Inflamed tendon which can lead to tightness and can be tender to touch.
