Physiotherapists
The physiotherapy is provided by Chartered Physiotherapists with more than 20 years experience each. They are all members of the Health Professions Council which require each member to follow strict rules and professional codes of conduct. They also attend post-graduate courses on a regular basis in order to keep up to date with the latest treatment techniques.
Nick Clunies-Ross MCSP - Practice Principal - (Morpeth & Cramlington Clinics) Graduated from the University Hospital of Wales in 1984. Worked in Liverpool , Northampton and St. Bartholomew's Hospital, London as senior physiotherapist overseeing the sports injury clinics and specializing in the treatment of back and neck conditions. Took over the running of the Physiotherapy & Sports Clinic 17 years ago.
Val Edmondson, MCSP (Morpeth Clinic) - Graduated from Liverpool School of Physiotherapy in 1979. Credentialed McKenzie Therapist with a Diploma in Orthopaedic Medicine. Also qualified to use acupuncture for pain relief in conjunction with physiotherapy. Joined the Clinic in 2005 from the NHS Trust.
Angel Powell, MCSP (Morpeth Clinic) - Graduated from Bristol School of Physiotherapy in 1972. Gained experience at Bristol General Hospital, Sir G B Hunter Hospital at Wallsend and in Paediatrics at Bristol Children's Hospital prior to running own private practice for 20 years. Specialises in spinal treatment, orthopaedic conditions and sports injuries along with neurological conditions such as stroke, Parkinson's disease etc. Qualified in use of acupuncture as part of physiotherapy treatment.
Heidi Trundle, BA MCSP (Cramlington Clinic) - Graduated from Nottingham School of Physiotherapy in 1985. Special interests are shoulder and knee problems, whiplash and other spinal injuries. Qualified in use of acupuncture and steroid injection therapy for pain relief. Joined the Cramlington Clinic in 2006 from private practice in Gateshead.

Fawcett House, MorpethThe Physiotherapy & Sports Clinic’s original site is situated in the centre of Morpeth. It has four treatment rooms – two used exclusively for physiotherapy and two more that are utilised by senior consultants and a chiropodist. |
Quarryside House, CramlingtonThe Clinic shares the building with the Cramlington Dental Centre. It is a purpose built clinic situated in the old village of Cramlington. It has three treatment rooms with wheelchair access and is compliant with DDA requirements. |
